  Great location, peaceful surroundings and excellent value for money

  Liked: Great location, peaceful surroundings and excellent value for money We stayed here for five days and four nights during our trip to Italy and had a very good overall experience. Location: The apartment is conveniently located within walking distance of Mestre railway station and a bus stops. Both buses and trains run frequently, making it easy to travel to Venice. Despite being close to the station, the apartment is situated on a quiet pedestrian street with very little noise. Apartment and facilities: The apartment looked exactly as shown in the Booking.com photos. It was spacious, clean and well equipped, with plenty of wardrobe space and almost everything needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. There were also plenty of windows, allowing the room to be well lit. I had read some comments about the beds being uncomfortable, but we personally had no complaints about them. Wi-Fi: The internet connection was excellent and surprisingly fast compared with some other hotels and apartments we have stayed in across different countries. Host: The host was friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out instructions were explained clearly, and we received the access codes for both the main entrance and our apartment in advance, making the whole process quick and hassle-free. The host also gave us useful advice on getting to Venice, recommended nearby restaurants and explained where we could leave our luggage if we needed to explore the city after checking out.

  Disliked: A couple of minor drawbacks: Our apartment, number 4, appeared to be located above the kitchen or restaurant on the ground floor. At times, there was a persistent smell of fish in the apartment. Initially, we thought it might have been left by previous guests, but we eventually realised that it was coming from downstairs. It was not a major issue for us, but it could be unpleasant for people who are particularly sensitive to smells. We also encountered quite a few mosquitoes during our stay, especially during the first two nights. We eventually managed to get rid of them, but it is worth keeping this in mind.

  Close to everything, convenient and safe

  Liked: Close to bus lines, food, and very walkable. Owner was very communicative and helped us with all of our questions

  Disliked: Rules to garbage weren’t explained. We are unfamiliar with recycling and trash rules which left us walking the neighborhood with garbage bags we couldn’t deposit. The bed is as hard as a board. Consider a pillow top?

  Great location, comfortable and clean accommodation, and a helpful host

  Liked: Giacomo is a thoughtful host who got in touch right after the booking and provided all the necessary information in good time. He also gave us useful recommendations for getting around and places to eat. (If you’d like to eat at the restaurant downstairs, make a reservation before your trip, as it’s very popular!) The apartment is conveniently located close to both the airport and Venice, with good public transport connections. It is spacious and clean.
