  Seemed like a good idea, but rather disappointing

  Liked: The position of the property is good, and it is better than being in the centre of Viterbo - you can eat outside if you want to and the cars are parked off the road. The owner was always available.

  Disliked: The rooms are damp, and there is a musty smell particularly in Room 5. Rooms do not have windows that can be opened for the passage of fresh air. I opened my window and returned to an even damper room than before. The shared kitchen is not well furnished with plates, cups etc. In fact we ended up buying our own. The heating is on a timer for the morning, but only for a short period of time. Every night we had to telephone the owner to have it turned on. On night 3 he finally explained how the heating in apartment 2 worked, something we all felt could have been done on the first day. In Room 4 the bathroom door did not close. In Room 5 one of the plugs doesn't work properly. We paid an extra Euro200 to stay there rather than in the centre of Viterbo. We all felt the extra money wasn't justified by the condition of the property.

  Very good

  Liked: Overall it was a great place except for one very important thing (see below). The room is really well furnished (for example there's almost you might need if you intend to cook yourself a little something, located in a quiet area. The host came personally to greet me and provide some instructions, which is very nice.

  Disliked: The wi-fi didn't really work for me (tested with both my cellphone and a laptop). Thankfully I had some roaming data and could live without wi-fi. I could get a stronger, stable signal just outside the room, in the parking area. Maybe there was something going on at the particular time I was there, but anyway, maybe double check with the host that the wi-fi has been tested and confirmed to reach the room properly. Again, everything except that was fine.

  Magnificent

  Liked: The apartment was great, spacious and clean. The host was really helpful and it was easy to keep in touch for the check in. Position is great if you want to visit Viterbo but staying in a silent area close to the city centre. Highly recommended.

  peaceful location and welcoming staff

  Liked: lovely location within a national park, super friendly staff, Maria Assunta was very welcoming.

  Disliked: the room we were given was advertised as a flat. it was really a room with a kitchen corner and a breakfast bar and bathroom with shower
