    Terrible terrible terrible

Liked: I didn’t have the chance to like anything because of the last moment they sent us a text saying that they had overbooked. They also said they would help find other arrangements which they never did. I will never be a customer of this establishment. They can’t seem to get their customers dates right, then they notify booking.com that didn’t show up. I think this is probably a pretty worthless place.

Disliked: For One not cancelling our reservations at the last minute would’ve been nice. Two if they had followed through on their commitment to help us find other recommendations that would’ve been nice. Just keeping their word would’ve been nice, but they just didn’t.

    Perfect stay in lovely Fes

Liked: This was my favorite stay in over two weeks in Morocco (with two more riads to go). It felt unbelievably luxurious at a very reasonable price point. It’s right in the Medina but on a quiet side alley way (except for dogs barking one night). It is absolutely stunning with giant center courtyard plus other lounge areas. Our room was one of the least expensive but was still sizable and the bathroom was huge with lovely touches such as rose water cleaner/toner and a blow dryer with a diffuser which this curly woman really appreciated. We had dinner on their roof top which is beautiful with lovely views and creative cuisine and cocktails! Their menu had a list of other restaurants they recommend. I’d never seen that touch before. We also lounged briefly at their stunning pool. I didn’t get to take advantage of their hammam as I failed to book in advance and they were all booked up. The staff were warm, professional and helpful. They even told me that I didn’t need a full day tour, that half a day would suffice and arranged that for us

Disliked: I wish breakfast was as interesting as dinner. They had the same as so many other places and I was a bit tired of those offerings.

    Gorgeous place

Liked: Everything. What a gorgeous place. Stunning courtyard with birds. What a tranquil place. Bed was big and comfortable. It is fun to explore all the ways around the riad, navigate narrow stairways, hidden rooms, etc. Definitely not for someone who has issue walking or climbing stairs. They do have an elevator to the roof restaurant. They arranged our tour guide for Fes and also transportation to Casablanca. Our driver Omar was excellent, courteous, helpful it was a pleasurable 3.5 hour ride. One quirky thing, you need to plug the sink and shower drains after use. When I saw two dead cockroaches at the entrance of the riad the next morning I figured why. All understandable considering that you are in the old Medina.

    Disliked: Nothing.

The best riad of our 3 week Morocco trip

Liked: Riad Laaroussa was the highlight of our 3-week Morocco trip. The staff's extraordinary warmth and kindness made us feel like cherished friends rather than guests. The riad itself is breathtaking, with stunning traditional design and tranquil atmosphere that photos can't fully capture. Our upgraded room was a delight. The food was another standout, even after trying top Fez restaurants, our favorite meals were at the riad. Every dish showcased impeccable flavors and presentation. We've rarely encountered hospitality as genuine and attentive as Riad Laaroussa's. They elevate the riad experience to a true art form. If you want an authentic taste of Moroccan luxury, Riad Laaroussa is unparalleled. It's a Fez gem that exceeded our highest expectations. We can't wait to return to this exquisite home away from home.

Disliked: We loved every single aspect of our stay. Riad Laaroussa has set a new standard for us when it comes to Moroccan hospitality and authentic riad experiences. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time there. But we will absolutely be back, as we can't imagine a more perfect base for exploring Fez.
