An oasis of calm in the edge of the medina

Liked: Love the location and wonderful plant life in the atrium. Stunning.

Disappointing way to end our trip

Liked: The room was spacious and the courtyard is attractively decorated with plants. The breakfast was on the upper end of quality of hotel breakfasts that we received during our two weeks in Morocco.

Disliked: The advertised swimming pool is murky green, dirty and clearly non-functional. Lifting cushions or looking underneath furniture reveals a lot of dirt and grime. Given that the hotel was advertised with a pool I asked the owner to consider reducing the charge but he refused. We met many lovely people during our trip, but this this place was very much the exception to this. I cannot recommend that you visit this hotel, the owner clearly cares more about money than giving guests a good experience.

Relaxing, comfortable 100% enjoyed our stay

Liked: Comfortable large room, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast, staff were so helpful. My traveling companion was not well during our visit and Yousef (name?) was so helpful. He escorted her to see a doctor and waited til she completed her appointment to escort her back and help her find a pharmacy.

Disliked: We were happy with everything.

Liked: An amazing riad inside the medina. The interior and attention to details are incredible. The staff are very caring and warm-hearted. Super-fast Wi-Fi with speeds around 200mbs - special thanks for that, we were able to sync all our photos:) And we especially loved our tea parties by the fireplace

Disliked: The dinner was a bit overpriced

It was an interesting experience for a family Christmas break, I would recommend spring or autumn

Liked: I liked staying in a riad, it was an experience, my/our first time. The owner was very communicative and helpful before our arrival (but was away during our stay). You could walk to the medina or other parts of the city, or get a taxi. The ladies serving breakfast were very sweet. I also went to a traditional hammam with one of them and I am thankful for that.

Disliked: We came in December, the weather was very wet and cold, including snow outside Fez. The riad was very cold everywhere, even with (portable) heaters. It leaked into our room - we were kindly moved to another one. The staff on site did not speak English (much), thankfully my partner speaks French, otherwise I would have been in trouble. The location did not feel safe or appropriate to my partner for a family stay (we had children with us). The balcony doors did not open from our bedrooms. There was only one common room to eat breakfast in to be shared with other guests. The breakfast was the same every day, I was missing some basic things (yogurt, fruit, veg). Transport options for daily trips via a private taxi were really expensive.
