Lovely traditional home in amongst the action

Liked: Mohamed was very helpful meeting us, helping with our luggage through the Medina and showing us around the property. Property was well furnished and had multiple nooks to enjoy.

    Great, but not always

Liked: House is beautiful. Lots of stairs and several terraces. Washing machine worked great and there is adequate space to relax and enjoy. Host was very responsive and person who met us there was very nice, as was the driver who took us to the airport.

Disliked: The location was the main problem. The Old Medina is a very active place and very beautiful, but the shop owners are very aggressive and there are plenty of locals who prey on tourists for a living. You find out the hard way that they will offer to help you find your accommodation or show you where celebrities used to live, and then ask for money at the end. They never tell you they are going to charge you until the end. Nothing is free and there is always the idea to charge in dollars or euros when none of the locals negotiate in these currencies. After awhile it really gets on your nerves and really takes the enjoyment out of being in such a beautiful place. It is easy to get lost in the winding streets and a navigation app with the booking would help and cut down on the need to interact with the local population when you are lost and vulnerable.

    Didn’t want to leave

Liked: The house was absolutely gorgeous- on five floors, and designed so well, we barely wanted to leave it! The interior design was beautiful and the roof terrace was so relaxing. The location was amazing too.

Disliked: Nothing. If you struggled with stairs it might not be the place for you but my (very fit) 82 year old mum was fine with it.

Chic stay in the heart of the petit soco

Liked: The decoration is very chic, the entire home, architecture, style and lights are perfectly done. The terrace and its view it’s superb. The location is right in the heart of the petit soco, very safe. Communication and help was great too.

Disliked: It can get very cold, only the fireplace bedroom and living room heater seemed to provide enough warmth, but I was able to sleep comfortable. Nothing too bad.

Incredible views, art, and comfort in the old medina

Liked: The house is absolutely stunning, comfortable, and clean; pictures don’t do it justice. We visited in August, and it was perfectly cool inside. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and it was amazing to have breakfast on one of the three terraces. We loved how the hosts also kept yoga mats for guests, so we could workout in the larger terraces. A once-in-a-lifetime stay!

Disliked: Nothing - it was perfect.
