Very disappointing experience — far too expensive for what is offered, with poor facilities, an unwelcoming attitude and

Liked: The one truly positive point was the lovely woman taking care of the riad, Meriem. She was extremely kind, always smiling and very helpful, despite doing absolutely everything on her own: cleaning, cooking, preparing breakfast, and taking care of the guests. She really deserves recognition for how much work she does. The breakfast on the terrace was also perfect and was definitely one of the highlights of my stay.

Disliked: For the price, this place is absolutely not worth it. The room was very dark and humid, and the shower is so poorly designed that the entire bathroom gets flooded within seconds. The welcome was not warm at all, and we were told upon arrival that payment had to be made in cash, despite this not being mentioned anywhere on Booking.com. When I pointed this out, I was told that we “didn’t know how to read,” even though I was able to prove that the information was simply not there. When I asked the owner for her bank details to make a transfer, she shouted at me on the phone. Once I provided proof, the attitude suddenly changed. Considering the price, I find it particularly disappointing to see that practically everything is handled by one woman alone — cleaning, cooking, breakfast and taking care of guests — while the owners charge a very high price for such a basic service. Overall, the value for money is really poor.

    Very nice

Liked: The lady who helped us with the luggage up and down the stairs and prepared breakfast was very nice and helpful. And she prepared a great breakfast. Great location in the medina The view from the terrace while having breakfast was great the fan was helpful

Disliked: there were a lot of stairs to the room (it was at terrace level). The lack of air conditioning can be a problem when it is really hot (there is a fan, but we were lucky it was not too hot during our stay, as the fan made it just about bearable at night) It is mostly quiet, but it is next to a mosque, so expect a call for prayer early in the morning (ours was just about after 4am)

Liked: We loved our stay here. It was close to everything and the breakfast was great. No aircon but we were able to open windows at night. Would recommend staying here for sure.

Humble but with charm. Great breakfast

Liked: Humble but charming riad with nice inside windows and a very nice terrace from where we were served a really nice breakfast with fresh fruits. The manager met us at an appointed time for chec in. The common areas are small but bright with comfortable sofas and some nice books. Inside bedroom was a bit small so it could get a bit stuffy but overall OK. We had no problem finding it.
