Friendly hostel in great location
Liked: My stay at the banana hostel couldn't have been better. Ayoub and Mohammed are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and add considerably to the experience. They are also full of information and advice if needed. I felt safe in and around the hostel which is really well located in an interesting area of Tangier. There may be little things are are not quite perfect, but honestly, if you are so fussy and critical, get a life. There are more important issues in this world. I will definitely return.
Disliked: On reading my review it says I stayed in the female dorm. So my only issue is with booking.com who frequently get these things wrong. The stress of arriving in a city late at night with nowhere to stay could be avoided by using a better platform. Of course there was no problem at the hostel and they honoured my original booking of male dorm. Five stars to the hostel. Zero stars to the platform.

Liked: Hostel banana is located in the heart of the city, which makes it convenient for exploring nearby attractions. The price is reasonable, and the staff are friendly and approachable. For a short stay of one night, it can work if you just need a basic place to sleep.
Disliked: However, I wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays. The shared room is crowded and poorly ventilated, and the lockers are old and not very secure. The hostel is tucked away in narrow alleys, making it hard to find, and there are no cameras in these areas. Guests often smoke inside, which makes it difficult to enjoy privacy and a comfortable environment. Overall, the place feels disorganized, and many basic things are missing despite the reasonable price.
Liked: Very good atmosphere in the hostel, the owners are very nice and welcoming and Malika the cleaning lady is very nice. The placement is also very convenient and good. Definitely coming back.

Liked: The hostel I booked at the Banana establishment was really comfortable, with a secure and quiet room. The staff were wonderful, and the location is perfect,close to everything you might need and right in the old city.
