Good
A good hotel with just the right amount of comfort
Liked: I booked a double-bed room at the Marco Polo Hotel following a bad experience at a neighbouring hotel. The welcome at reception was superb. The next day, I asked to change my room because it smelled of smoke, as it was a smoking room. The change was sorted out without any problems, and I was given an even better room. Overall, the hotel looks good; it’s clean, apart from the carpet on the stairs and in the corridor, which is quite worn and, in my opinion, gives a poor impression. There’s no lift, so you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs. I was satisfied with my stay. There’s a choice of breakfasts. I had a simple breakfast once and a Moroccan breakfast once. The staff are polite and helpful. And the hotel is situated right opposite the Corniche. There are several other cafés, restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.
