  Lovely hostel right in the Medina

  Liked: Very well located right in the Medina and accessible to the centre. Tho I booked a mixed dorm, they kept it separately which was greatly appreciated. Affordable prices for the beds, and attentive hosts. Lovely cat living there and the hostel design and architecture is just beautiful!

  Disliked: The toilets were mixed, it happened that there were guys that didn't even close the door to pee. Not hand soap, and sometimes a lack of cleaning probably due there were only 3 mixed toilets and showers. Even tho I love cats, the room has a strong smell of cat pee that wasn't very pleasant. Maybe some lockers to store belongings would be appreciated.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was very disappointing and unprofessional. When we arrived, there was no proper hospitality or explanation about the property. About an hour after check-in, the owner came to us and told us that I had to leave the room because, according to him, as a Moroccan man I could not stay in a mixed dorm. This was never clearly stated before booking. I was told that the room was being reserved for a female guest, but later that same night, there was a group of five men staying in the same room. The way this was handled was extremely disrespectful. The owner was shouting my name around the property and repeatedly telling me to move in an aggressive manner. He also tried to cancel the reservation from my phone and claimed that my reservation was not confirmed, even though I showed him the confirmed reservation on Booking.com. I have hotel-management experience myself, so I understand how reservations and check-ins should be handled, and this was far from professional. The accommodation itself also needs improvement. The bathroom had a very bad smell, the beds were uncomfortable, and the room was extremely hot. There was no window and no air conditioning, making it very difficult to sleep. The curtain around my bed was also partly broken, allowing light to enter and compromising privacy. Overall, I would not recommend this hostel. The main issue was not simply the facilities, but the lack of professionalism, communication, and respectful treatment of guests.

  I had a great time

  Liked: I stayed 2 nights at Tarbi'aat Tetouan and the experience was very positive. I slept really well: after 23:00~00:00 the atmosphere is totally quiet, the beds are comfortable, and each one has its own curtain, light, and power outlet, which provides a good level of privacy. The mattress is comfortable, which is very much appreciated after a long day. In addition, the guests are very friendly, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. The showers were clean and had hot water, everything was in good condition. Overall, a highly recommended place if you're looking to rest well and feel comfortable.
