Nice view but we feel misled

Liked: The view on the terrace was lovely, the staff were pleasant to our children, the breakfast was good. Housekeeping remade the beds every day. The food on the menu was nice and we ate here twice during our stay, the kitchen staff were very nice. The Riad is decorated beautifully.

Disliked: I had emailed a few times in advance to discuss the parking situation - I was given mixed messages as to where to park and how to manage it. This was our last stop on a 1174 mile road trip around Morocco and we had travelled quite far with two young children so needed to know where to go. Eventually they just stopped replying, replied hours after we had checked in, and then didn't reply at all when I asked for further information. We ended up parking quite far away and walking further than we needed to when we were already hot and exhausted. Noone offered to help with our luggage. The family room I wouldn't say is suitable for families. It is much, much smaller than advertised and I think the photos are taken on a wide-angle lens. The photos are also taken from outside the room to make it look bigger. There is no double bed. The window is not the same window on the pictures, and hypothetically very easy for a child to fall out of at a very great height. There is no aircon, just one old and very noisy fan pushing hot air around the room, the kids struggled to settle at night and my husband and I barely slept at all as we didn't have the fan pointing at us plus it was very loud. The lights in the bunk beds get very hot and I wasn't sure they were safe. The little cupboards below the beds were absolutely filthy inside, but are the only place you can push *some* of your luggage into. We honestly wanted to book somewhere else as we were so uncomfortable but at that point at the end of our holiday we were on a budget and had already had to pay in advance on arrival for our stay (I think they do this on purpose), we also didn't think we'd be able to communicate effectively with staff. They advertise that breakfast is from 9 but what that means is that the staff get there at 9 and start to turn things on, this caused big delays in getting our breakfast and getting on with the day. The shower frame was broken.
