  Comfortable central stay

Liked: Spacious, modern and comfortable with a central location. We were sent clear instructions on checking in with a photo of the front door and were welcomed into the property by our host.

Disliked: Be aware that it is on the third floor and there is no lift. Although the half hourly church bells are quaint and they didn't bother us, if you need quiet to sleep then pack some earplugs. The windows mostly overlook rooftops which is quite cool, but there were sometimes people on their roofs so I would have appreciated blinds on the kitchen/walkway windows.

Liked: Thank you so much for the apartment. The place is wonderful and the views are beautiful. Thank you for your help — we are very grateful to you. We happened to be there during King's Day by chance — we didn’t know in advance that it would fall on these dates, as we originally booked the trip to see the tulips. Even on King’s Day, it was quiet and peaceful, and there were plenty of cafés where we could eat. Thank you once again 🙏🏻

  Super and helpful hosts

Disliked: The location of the property was excellent. The host made us feel weclomed and had great ideas for dining. Lots of space in the apartment for five. We enjoyed our stay in the apartment and in Alkmaar.

  Outstanding

Liked: Just all round great - clean, spacious, central, host was really really nice

Disliked: The church bells in the morning were quite entertaining but that seems to be a "feature" of Alkmaar!
