Great location and extra comfy beds

Liked: Very comfy beds, all facility's we needed, central location, a warm welcome from Anita there for all our needs and local advice. The balcony is a stunning addition with peace and a sun all day. A perfect location for Alkmaar and a good base for surrounding area.

We had a wonderful stay in Alkmaar!

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay. Anita was very nice and welcoming. The location was great and the apartment was beautiful and comfortable. If I had the opportunity to visit Alkmaar again I would want to stay here!

Disliked: Everything was fine for us. As others mentioned, the unit has steep stairs that will not be for everyone.

  Great location and comfortable house!

Liked: Location!!! Walking distance to the old city centre but also very quiet (besides the lovely church bells 😄). Two bedrooms with two comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful balcony for morning coffees/teas. Anita was very nice and friendly, quick to response, gave good recommendations and was available when necessary (e.g. around for a nice chat). She and her husband live downstairs and manage the balance between keeping it private but being around if necessary quite perfectly! They helped a lot with parking issues, thanks again Anita!

Disliked: If you’re allergic to or for some reason don’t like animals this might not be the right place to stay. There are cats and a dog around, very well trained and they won’t bother you at all though! There’s no living room, couch etc. But the kitchen is big enough to sit comfortably with 4-6 people.
