Poor Communication and Lack of Response

Liked: I did not stay at the property

Disliked: Very disappointing experience due to the poor communication from the host. Before booking, I asked a simple question about whether the bed was a single or double bed, but I did not receive a reply. Only after I had booked the property was I informed that there were two single beds. I was also only informed after booking that the accommodation was on the second floor with no lift and that the bathroom was on the first floor. I feel this information would have been important to know before making the reservation. Unfortunately, my travel plans later changed, and I contacted the host well in advance to politely ask whether a goodwill cancellation might be possible. As I did not receive a response, Booking.com asked me to contact the host by phone. I spoke with her, and she told me she would contact Booking.com and get back to me. However, despite my follow-up messages, I never received a reply or a call. The only messages I continued to receive were automatic check-in reminders. I understand that the reservation was non-refundable, but completely ignoring a guest's messages is very disappointing and reflects poor customer service. I would have appreciated at least a simple response, even if a cancellation was not possible. Based on my experience with the communication, I unfortunately cannot recommend this host.

Quiet, relaxed with lots of fresh air

Liked: It's an incredibly nice place to rent at. The atmosphere is always quiet, and the window lets a lot of light in. It's nice for working/studying. The kitchen is pretty and comfortable to cook in, it's always spotless! I found it a great place, I'd love to rent it again. Ann is a great host, she's friendly and accomodating, and always nice to talk to!
