  Very disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone

  Liked: We were so glad we only had only a short stay there.

  Disliked: Our room was in the roof at the highest part of the building. It was on a slope and very low where the bed was. Workmen were out on the roof working early in the morning. The stairs to the roof were tiny and it was very high up. The worst stairs we have had to walk up and down in all our travels. We couldn’t just sit in our room. We had to sit in the kitchen to relax.

  Centre of the action

  Liked: Perfect location 5 minutes from the Central Station and close to everything by walking. A fabulous location, very active every night until 5 in the morning. Very nice traditional Amsterdam house from the 16th century with very cute narrow staircase which requires skill and fitness to manage. It was a very enjoyable stay to our liking and Gadi is a wonderful host always making sure we had plenty of coffee.

  Okay for central stay in Amsterdam

  Liked: The location was very central. Gani was very helpful.

  Disliked: Not the property manager’s fault - but there was scaffolding around all the properties in our street so there were workmen outside our window every morning. The stairs to the rooms were extremely steep and shallow.

  Great

  Liked: We loved our host and the amenities. Gani is genuinely nice, very available, accommodating, and he helped us many times. We loved that he always added fresh fruit in the kitchen, and everything was always perfectly clean. The room is fairly quiet considering the very lively neighbourhood it is in. It is comfortable and spacious. We recommend staying there.

  Stairs!!

  Liked: Owner very helpful & place is Central to everything, 5 min walk to Stn too.

  Disliked: Stairs were a nightmare, so so steep & narrow, typical of Amsterdam, owner carried our cases so we could hold on, two full flights & a twirling staircase to lower room then more to a shared kitchen which we didnt use. The bed made noises each time you moved.
