Unhelpful staff and no commitment towards their profession

    Liked: Nothing

Disliked: We requested a double bed, and I understand it was unavailable. However, I asked for an extra duvet. The receptionist said “We are fully booked and all duvets have been used”. As I’m a GM in one of the UK hotels, I understand how the system works and their response was very unprofessional and unhelpful. I felt like they don’t want anything extra for the guests. No commitment towards their guests. The bed was very uncomfortable; we could feel the springs and ended up with back pain in the mornings. Very poor check-in service, I had to speak to the receptionist 3 times, he could have done the check-in the first time instead of asking me to use the self check-in all the time.

Liked: We used as our base to run the marathon. Excellent choice. We could walk to the olympic stadium. The value for money was also very good. The room was also very clean.

Disliked: The bed needed to be replaced. It was already dented from usage. The breakfast was nothing special. but nothing. missing. A bit chaotic in how it is managed. Too many people and they don´t have the staff to keep up.

Liked: Proximity to the airport that’s it.

Disliked: When checking in on the screens I was given a choice of rooms I could pick, so decided to stick with the one we were allocated. Upon entering the room i quickly discovered the tv wasn’t working and toilet roll dispenser was faulty so we went to reception to see if we could have one of the other rooms we were given a choice of the rude member of staff informed us there was no room types left that we’d booked and would have to upgrade. He knew all of this without even checking his computer. Yet 5 minutes earlier we had a choice of around 6/7 rooms.
