Liked: Staff were really friendly, had a happy hour if you wanted to enjoy the complementary drinks there. Beds were really big and comfy.

Disliked: We had a jacuzzi bath in our room and it wasn't very clean by the actual jets so only used the shower. Would have rather had a walk in shower.

    Very disappointing experience

Disliked: Very disappointing experience – poor service and extremely poor value for money We paid €1,437 for three nights for a family stay, and unfortunately I could not recommend this property. While the location suited our preference for a quieter part of Amsterdam, the standard of hospitality was extremely disappointing, particularly given the premium price charged. The female receptionist / manager was unwelcoming and made little or no effort to acknowledge or greet us in the mornings or evenings. We were informed that our room would not be serviced during our stay and that, should we require additional toilet paper, we would have to come downstairs and request it ourselves. There was also no breakfast available, something that had not been expressly communicated to us when booking, and no meaningful effort was made to assist us with alternatives. To add to our disappointment, there was insufficient hot water to have a proper shower at 8:30 in the morning. Surely a reliable supply of hot water is a basic expectation of any hotel, particularly one charging almost €500 per night. For comparison, we stayed in a similarly central boutique hotel in Cologne during the same holiday, where we paid approximately half the price and enjoyed a delicious breakfast included in the rate. The difference in hospitality, service and overall value for money was striking. For €479 per night, we expected a considerably higher standard of service, courtesy, comfort and attention to guests. Unfortunately, even the most basic expectations were not met. Amsterdam is a wonderful city, and we thoroughly enjoyed our family visit, but I would certainly not recommend this accommodation to other families. Extremely poor value for money, a complete lack of genuine hospitality and an altogether disappointing experience.

Disliked: Shower could use some instructions.

Liked: location was great and staff were friendly and professional, room was well speced and clean.

Disliked: My room was on the ground floor right by the reception and main entrance - the main door banged constantly and guest were very loud passing through. Guests also gathered on the steet directly outside the window talking and smoking so was a bit loud. Sure rooms on the upper floors would be fine
