  Liked: Location was good.

  Disliked: Didn’t like the step at the bathroom door, it was a tripping hazard either going in or exiting the bathroom. I’m short, found the bed too high when getting into bed. Lighting could be better.

  Wish we could have moved here during the early hours and enjoyed our first night here too!

  Liked: We had to move from a disgraceful hotel so we walked to this one after finding it in booking.com to view it and the staff on reception were amazing. They were welcoming and friendly and so helpful. They offered to keep our bags for us to go out and enjoy the city until we could check in because they were busy from the night before so had to wait for a room. The room was spotless and so comfortable. As soon as we stepped out of the lift we could smell the freshness. The room service staff were friendly too.

  Historical stay

  Liked: Location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam very close to the dam. Would stay again! The menu of the day was excellent value. Fascinating history in this

  Disliked: We struggled getting to our room with suitcases, as its an older building and going up and down steps, no flat access. No big one once suitcases delivered.
