Good budget hotel in central Amsterdam

Liked: Location great, staff super cool. Nice family run hostel

Disliked: My room was on 4th floor and stairs in Amsterdam are one of its kind! Steep like mountain and narrow like Angelina jolie waist! Very difficult to carry luggage to top floor!

Very good location but quite deplorable otherwise

Liked: The single room was a very sad room, maybe the worst room I stayed in until now. Overpriced for what it is. My main issue was the cleaning lady. I had to check out at 11h. before that she came to knock at every single door to talk with people inside and make sure they are waken up.... I DID NOT want to open the door to interact with her to assure her that I am not late waking up... I was awake, and of course I heard her knock on every door, I opened to calm her down, but it was an inconvenience..., then she started cleaning the common toilet and shower on the corridor BEFORE people checked out. I could not shower because of her, I had to wait a lot for her to finish cleaning to go to the toilet. I just don't understand this... Also you hear toilet flushing from your room every time someone uses it - the toilet that is common on the corridor, you also hear people talking in nearby rooms, walls are thin.

Disliked: Very good location, easy and fast check in and check out, close to metro station

    Value for money

Liked: I liked that it wasn’t in the center.

Disliked: The staircase isn’t very comfortable if you have to carry heavy luggage upstairs. Also, my bed didn’t have the bottom bedsheet and I found a dirty sock under the radiator (and it wasn’t mine!).

    Not cheap not very cheerful

Liked: Nice location and the guy on reception was very helpful and pleasant.

Disliked: The room was tiny. There were hardly any amenities. The room lighting was terrible. The old suspended ceiling was full of holes showing unfilled structural openings above. It was stuffy with a small window. Getting upstairs to the room was a mountaineering exercise quite dangerous for anyone with any sort of mobility issues, so bad it looked illegal to me.

    Comfy bed and thats it

Liked: Comfy Bed, But paper thin walls, Lots of stairs and bathroom down a full flight of stairs wasnt ideal. In the morning I had someone outside my door masking taping a door or something which woke me up, windows weren't very sound proof and I could hear everyone entering and leaving their rooms.
