    Great location and very clean!

Liked: The location couldn’t be better! Perfectly in the centre and nicely tucked away!

Disliked: There are no USB charge points. And the sockets that are there which require adaptors were on one side of the room. We had to lean over someone else’s bed to access. Also had very noisy Italian guests come in at 1am when one of the guests was already asleep. I really feel sorry for this guy as he clearly was there for work or training on a short trip. We told the people making noise to keep it down but they very quickly became loud again. They also had an extra person stay as he had missed his flight. Which I don’t understand how he was allowed in? Security seemed good but someone an extra person was able to slip past.

    Good value

Liked: Absolute prime location in Amsterdam.

Disliked: Secure bag drop isn't so secure as its just the area at the bottom of the stairs behind door to the rooms. Any of the hotel guests has access to your bags basically. Also silverfish in the room crawling on the ceiling.

Great location and fine for a solo stay, but service and basic conveniences were lacking

Liked: The location was great, and the room size worked perfectly for me as a solo traveler. It was compact but totally manageable for one person. I cannot imagine sharing that room with anyone else.

Disliked: No elevator — and yes, that deserves to be said twice. The staff were pretty curt and not particularly friendly. I also didn’t love the constant little “holding” deposits for things like the key card and hair dryer. There weren’t enough outlets, which would have been especially annoying if two people were sharing the room, and there was no towel or bath mat for the bathroom floor.

    Liked: Location is very good.

Disliked: Every time you go back to the hotel you need to show the card to the staff so they could open the door, there was no hairdryer in the room, no hooks for the towels or a place to dry the towels, so they were wet all the time. Every time you shower ( there is only in half ripped shower curtain which does not close) all the floor in the bathroom ( including the toilet) is wet and dries only in couple of hours. You hear everything from the corridor, there is no sound isolation. There are 4 hangers and no shelf to put your things, you get 1 chair for 3 people, that's it. They cleaned the room only 1 time in 5 nights. There was no glass for water.

Liked: Best hostel I've stayed in. Well organised, clean, maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. Towels available. It is located right in the centre of the tourist/red light district so expect to hear people on the street outside especially around the weekend

    Great, central & safe

Liked: Excellent location, very comfortable, and easy to get to! Everything was clean, and the front desk staff were always attentive and ready to open the main door for me. The housekeeper was also very kind and helped me carry my luggage up to the third floor, which was a great relief because I was quite tired at the time. Also, I felt very safe during my stay, and you can leave your large suitcases there with confidence, even after checking out, which was very convenient. The only thing to keep in mind is that the accommodation is located in a very lively nightlife area, so there can be some noise at night. However, I understand that this is part of the trade-off for staying in such a central and crowded area. The atmosphere is beautiful, right in front of the canal where the boats pass, and it is close to everything. It's perfect if you're only going to last a few days, solo travelers and if you have a low budget! I was initially a little worried about the electrical outlets/plugs, but fortunately, every bed had its own outlet, so it was not an issue at all.

Disliked: I would have liked there to be carpets outside the shower, to dry my feet and prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet when I leave.
