The best hotel from my entire trip

Liked: By far the best hotel of our entire trip. The room was large, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was big, the shower was excellent and the bathtub was amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful: I made a special request to have flowers bought for a celebration, and they handled it right away with great care and attention, which made the occasion even more special. The hotel restaurant is very good and breakfast was generous and well served. Highly recommended!

    ok, aber kein 4-Sterne Hotel

Liked: The hotel is in a good location, and the first impression is positive; they’ve made an effort with the interior design to give it a more unique look, and there are a few nice touches, such as sofas, a huge chandelier, and—thankfully—no carpets!

Disliked: Unfortunately, the hotel completely lacks management or someone to run it and keep a constant eye on things, and it certainly doesn’t deserve 4 stars—3 stars at most. The staff tries hard, but they clearly lack training in the hospitality industry and come across more like overwhelmed students. Housekeeping arrives around 5:00 p.m., and you have to specifically ask for the rooms to be cleaned at a reasonable time. Two items we hadn’t ordered also appeared on the bill; they were removed because no receipts could be found. All in all, not a 4-star experience—and we were a group of four staying in three rooms for four days. The hotel has no lobby, and there’s practically nowhere to sit or work except in the restaurant, which is called “The Lobby” but isn’t actually a lobby;-) The food in the restaurant is good, but here, too, the service is certainly not 4-star.

    Enjoyable

Liked: The property was immaculate and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were modern. We had some very nice meals in the Resturant and the atmosphere was excellent, we especially liked the lighting in the Resturant. The salmon and eggs breakfast was great and very filling. We have stayed at various Amsterdam hotels over the years, this hotel was very good and so close to Dam square and within walking distance of the main museums and the Ann Frank house. There are some nice bars along this street with a brew bar and small cafes in the side roads. Don’t get dragged into the main busy streets where the quality isn’t as good.

Disliked: Would have liked a room with a bath and the hotel was a little expensive but over all very good.

For me one of the best hotels in Amsterdam, Highly recommended!

Liked: I am traveling since many years to Amsterdam and stayed in many hotels. Hotel V Nesplein is the one I can highly recommend. Its rooms are very comfortable, big, very quiet (if to the back) and exceptionally well equipped. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Its location is super central, easy to access and, although close to the Main Street, very quiet location. Great Restaurant for breakfast but also for dinner. A great hotel to stay in if you like the smaller, boutique ones. For me this is the one I will always book again if ever in Amsterdam. Will definitely come back soon!
