  Not overly impressed by one of the male staff on front desk. Not helpful and impolite. Otherwise, the staff could not be

  Great location yet over all a very uncomfortable stay

  Liked: Good location and clean. That said, single bed was tiny and the window kept opening up by itself. Noisy building works just outside the hotel.

  Disliked: The noise outside was horrendous. Building works started as early as 6/ 6.30 am. Not fechnically the fault of the hotel, but they should really talk to the construction company. I left more tired than I arrived.,

  We enjoyed our stay at Hotel van Gough

  Liked: Close to museums which was key to our visit to Amsterdam. Staff at reception/breakfast area very helpful. Facility for storing luggage taken advantage of on last day. Very nice bathrooms kept clean. Fast spacious lift.

  Disliked: We used the room coffee machine once-the used mug was not cleaned and nor was the pod replenished by room service. Additional pods were however available on request at reception.

  Liked: The hotel is in an excellent location to access museums, park, canals, shopping, and public transit is steps away. Staff were great and available 24/7. The room was clean and beds were comfy.

  Disliked: Nothing particular. We had a three-bed room, and I had a feeling it’d be slightly larger and A/C could be a bit more powerful. We managed and enjoyed the visit.

  It’s not glamorous, but is clean, showers and bed are good, and quiet

  Liked: Great location, clean and quiet.

  Disliked: It’s on the expensive side for a 3 star hotel. But then everything in Amsterdam is. So that’s more an observation than a criticism
