  Liked: The hotels in a great location for the museums and easy to get to by tram from the centraal station. It's a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, friendly helpful staff. There's free coffee, cakes, snacks and drinks available which is a nice touch. The room was very pleasant and comfortable.

  A wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the museum quarter of Amsterdam!

  Liked: A lovely boutique hotel, with a bold yet tasteful decor. The check-in experience was smooth and friendly, and the services and space at the ground floor are very welcoming. The room was comfortable and spacious. At a time when so many hotels claim to be "boutique" only because they are small, the Jan Luyken remains faithful to the charm and purpose of boutique hotels!

  Disliked: The breakfast was fine, but to make the experience better, I would have loved a more "à la carte" approach, at least for the main portion. The staff were quick to respond, but service wasn't proactive, as it was the same person that was also in Reception.

  Superb location for the main art galleries. Excellent service and we liked the relaxed vibe
