  Easy going hosts and quaint, heritage home offers a very Dutch experience

  Liked: Fabulous location for either strolling along the canal and heritage homes or quick access to transit and shops. Ruud and Annemarie were very welcoming. Because I arrived when a transit strike was scheduled, Ruud offered to drive me into town and retrieve me when I was finished. Breakfasts were lovely and classically Dutch, as I had requested.

  Disliked: Walkway from the front entrance was quite slippery.

  Liked: Everything. We loved staying in a traditional house full of character and charm and being able to sit in the garden after the hustle bustle of Amsterdam. Everything we needed and more. Hosts were exceptional, thank you for the apple pies etc and the lift to the ferry. Wished we had longer. Thank you

  Very convenient and in a safe area

  Liked: Annemarie en Ruud and her husband were extremely helpful and caring. He let us drop our luggage of early am and had it in our room when we returned from exploring Amsterdam. The croissants and danish were a nice touch and delicious. We were thankful for the ride to the Central Station when leaving

  Small apartment in historic house

  Liked: Beautiful old house, which has a small apartment on the lowest floor at the back of the house. Apartment is well equipped. Ceilings are quite low, but I was warned in advance. Host is very kind, attentive and helpful.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, the apartment floor wasn’t very clean: there were a fair amount of crumbs on the kitchen floor from the last guests breakfast and every corner had ‘dust bunnies.’ I clearly needed a good vacuum cleaning.

  Liked: The owner picked us up at the Metro station and dropped us off at the ferry when we Left. They also lent us bikes for free. They welcome us with apple pies.
