Very good
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful stay – excellent location and genuinely lovely staff
Liked: I had a really lovely stay at NH Amsterdam Schiller and would happily return. The location is excellent, right on Rembrandtplein, with so many restaurants, cafés and shops nearby. It's also very convenient for public transport, making it easy to explore Amsterdam. I particularly appreciated how central everything was while still having a comfortable hotel to return to. A special thank you to Boris at reception, who made my arrival so pleasant. He noticed me waiting, kindly helped with my luggage and checked me in quickly. He was genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive. I was also very pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Premium Single Room. Although a double room would have been an extra treat, the room I received was spacious, beautifully presented, quiet and had a lovely view. I was very happy with it. I'd also like to thank the rest of the reception team. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was able to leave my luggage with the hotel after checking out, which was another thoughtful convenience and made my last day much easier. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The location, comfortable room and especially the hospitality made my stay enjoyable from beginning to end. Thank you to Boris and the entire team for making me feel so welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again on my next visit to Amsterdam!
Disliked: Could have been a better bar or some facilities. I don't know if they had a gym.
Liked: Wonderful stay! The hotel was lovely, cozy, and very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everything was great, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended!
Excellent location and great staff
Liked: Excellent location, great staff, room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Rooms are small.
Liked: Its central
Disliked: You cannot reach the hotel by car, so if you have luggage, you need to carry it approximately 200 metres. There were people acting crazy both inside and outside the hotel. At around 2 a.m., the police were called to a room on our floor—the second floor. They knocked loudly for a good 30 minutes before the guests opened the door. The guests appeared to be under the influence of drugs and were acting crazy. We discussed the situation with the receptionist, first over the phone and later at reception. Their response gave us the impression that this happens regularly. Our room overlooked the square, where people who appeared to be under the influence were still hanging around and acting crazy at 6 a.m. Let me be clear: in my opinion, neither this hotel nor the surrounding area is suitable for families. The rooms are also tiny. There is not enough space to have two suitcases open at the same time. Even with just one standard-sized suitcase open, there is barely any room to walk. Between the nighttime disturbance, the crazy behaviour inside and outside the hotel, and the extremely limited space, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for families.
Super well maintained hotel, right on the square
Liked: The rooms were in great shape and felt brand new. Good clean shower. Nice breakfast with friendly staff
Disliked: My room was small, but I knew it when I booked, and that is normal for that area.
Liked: The room, the shower, the bed.
