  Liked: We stayed in the basement without natural light. The breskfeast room was just opposite to us and it was noisy early in the morning. It was not written in my reservation expilicitly that the room was in the basement. They said that it was the case but it was written in Dutch that it was a basement room. Actually I would appreciate if booking.com could write this expilicitly, or warn us about this because we did not want to stay in the basement. It was not possible to upgrade our room, either.

  Good location but wouldn’t stay here again

  Liked: Location, nice neighbourhood and handy for trams and airport bus. Reception staff were all lovely and helpful. Some rooms didn’t have a shower curtain and floor was soaked.

  Disliked: No soundproofing in rooms, our rooms all on entrance level and noisy with guests coming and going and using vending machine. Breakfast ok but bigger selection of cheeses would be nice and hot food to be hot.

  Disliked: Room small and hard to get around the beds. Key are needed for lights. When you remove at night no power in room.

  Gorgeous location, great value for money

  Liked: The hotel is in a lovely area near Vondelpark. It's only a 15 min tram ride to the city and away from the crowds - great if you're looking for a quiet area with fabulous restaurants. As a solo female, I felt really safe. Also, I caught a train from Zuid to Utrecht for the day and it was only a 20 min walk to the station - I thoroughly recommend this to explore further out of the city.

  Liked: The Location was amazing!

  Disliked: They gave us a -1 floor room which was very noisy and in front of the cleaning material. They only "cleaned" the room once but apparently they didn't vacuum as it was very dirty. The bed was two beds next to each other and the shower was the worst design I've ever seen in my life:( It was extremely tiny. Also I think for this Price/value, they shouldn't change extra for renting a bike.
