  Dissapointing. Dirty beyond any level of decency

  Liked: The property is in a great location. The were sporting some awards from around 2015 in the check in area, but it looks like it has not been cleaned since then. The property is in lamentable condition. It could be better than this, and at the orice point it should be. We slept on top of the sheets, in our clothes and got out as fast as we could on the morning.

  Disliked: Filthy and totally unkept. The carpets in the check in area were disgusting. No attempts to clean were apparent. The windows at the entrance were not filmy, they were grimy. Being a bit worn down is one thing, not having even a broom is another. This room was called an upgrade by staff.

  Small Hotel with good location

  Liked: Breakfast was exceptionally good. Room and bathroom were quite small. Location to the Concertgebouw and the museums is perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff

  A bit expensive for what we received, the breakfast offering needs improvement. Won't be back

  Liked: The location was ok, access was fine with taxis or the tram. The room was very small but mostly had what was needed.

  Disliked: The breakfast was quite poor. The eggs were completely over salted and the pastry's didnt seem very fresh. To the point were we went out for breakfast on the second day to avoid the hotel buffet. We were travelling for business so an iron in the room would have been good, we did ask for one which we got but it didnt work properly. The carpet in the hall, stairs and landing is completely worn out and bunched up in some places, could be a trip hazard on these already steep small passages.

  Disliked: the noise, my room is at the first floor, i heard people talking loudly until 1:00 am, i couldn't rest well

  if returning to Amsterdam, I would definitely choose a different hotel

  Liked: it was nice that breakfast was included.

  Disliked: The beds were awful. The first morning i reached over to turn off the alarm on my phone. The mattress slid off the platform and dumped me on the floor and then fell on top of me. The same thing happened to my travel companion the last morning we were there. The windows would not open and we could have used some air circulation.

  Fairly OK hotel but lot of room for the improvement

  Liked: As said previously, the location is great and the staff is very helpful.

  Disliked: The bed size is small and mattreases are very uncomfortable. Also they don't clean the room daily. As per the staff the cleaning is done on alternate days. This is difficult to accept. Room size is very small. All in all, we keep waiting to just finish the work and leave ASAP. They can actually improve on what is available. As mentioned previously, they ask for a deposit of 100€, which is for the first time I am observing in Amsterdam or Europe. We have stayed at many other hotels in Amsterdam and Europe. Never experienced this. I think if Hotel management takes few steps to improve the experience, it will go a long way.
