  We had a wonderful, restful time in Amsterdam!

  Liked: The location was great for walking, taking the tram and grocery shopping. The space was quiet and comfortable.

  Disliked: It would be great to have a wall mounted magnifying mirror in the bathroom to assist with contact lenses, make up application, and shaving. The mirror & lighting in the bathroom was challenging. A laminated list of helpful tips regarding how to work the stove, oven & thermostat would be terrific.

  Horribly noisy, No privacy. Stuffy rooms

  Liked: Location was close to tram stop.

  Disliked: We had an extremely bad experience. It was so bad that we left 5 days early so we could move to another hotel. I will list the following issues we had during our stay in no order: •Upon checking in, our radiator would not turn off. We messaged several times, until finally we had to go to the front desk. They had to change the battery so the radiator would turn off. Our room was VERY hot for the first night. •The room was VERY stuffy, so the window had to be open the entire time, it was cold outside but the room still didn't cool down much. •Our room was located right by the courtyard and we could not close our window (The staff said it was extremely difficult to close and takes a lot of force?). We could hear every single person come in and out of their rooms that connected the courtyard. People would gather in the courtyard and talk and see in our window at all times of the day and night. •People smoked outside next to our room in the courtyard, and our room often smelled of both marijuana and cigarette smoke. We told staff, but the smoking continued. •WE HAD NO PRIVACY AT ALL DUE TO THE LOCATION OF OUR WINDOW. The blinds always had to be closed or people could see right inside our room. •A woman opened the blinds to our room because she was locked out of her own room and was trying to ask for help to get back inside the building. •The sink drain was clogged. •There were pipes next to the bed, and they were loud every time someone flushed the toilet above us. •Our room was located next to several doors and the stairwell; we could hear doors open and closing all day and night. •Beds were stiff and not comfortable. •Fire alarm went off one night at 1am.3 We informed staff that we wanted a room change, and they told us we would be charged a fee to change rooms. We decided to leave instead of paying more money to the hotel. They refused a partial refund for our early checkout due to all these issues.

  A beautiful property with excellent facilities, but disappointing service and poor value for money

  Liked: The property is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained, with excellent facilities. I have stayed here before and genuinely loved the accommodation and its atmosphere.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly. The heating is switched off at 11 PM, housekeeping is unavailable for stays shorter than eight nights, and guests must dispose of their own rubbish daily. Almost everything comes with additional charges or restrictions, yet even paying extra does not guarantee service. The reception staff were particularly disappointing, focusing on repeating company policies rather than offering assistance. One receptionist was dismissive when I mentioned receiving help with our luggage during a previous stay and bluntly stated that "a lot of things have changed since your last stay." While I still love the property itself, the hospitality no longer matches the premium price. The value for money is simply not there anymore, and I will consider other accommodation options next time.
