  Close to restaurants but not a great stay

  Liked: Room/apartment: Kitchen has basic facilities - induction hob with air vent, mini fridge and microwave, plus a few cooking pans and utensils, we did not use any of this so cannot say if it works. Although no plates to eat. There is washing liquid and tea towels as well. There is a small teapot table in the kitchen area which you can eat from - will suit 2 people but for a bigger family it may not be sufficient as its not exactly a dining table. There is also two TVs - one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom (didn't use). There is also a balcony from the bedroom, not great views but better than nothing. There is space to park your car, we did not have any issue regarding this during our stay but I don't know how safe or crowded it will be during very busy season if everyone has a car. There is a USB plugpoint and a European plugpoint beside the bed, although doesn't have both on both sides, just one. So if one person is using the plug-in one, other person has to use the USB plugpoint. Bathroom does have hair dryer and sufficient towels, toilet roll - you can request more towels if needed. The hot water worked well. Location: The hotel is very close to several restaurants that offers different cuisines depending on your preference, just about 5-10 minutes walk at the most! The most crowded restaurants were Indian cuisine, Italian or burgers/western food. Just about a 2-3 minute car drive is a Lidl which is very convenient to buy food on the go. About 5 minutes drive away from the Lidl is also an Aldi. The nearest beach is probably a 15-20 minute walk. Air conditioning: Works very well, when we visited the temperature in Albufeira was around 28-31c, the room stayed very cool.

  Disliked: Contact: Cannot get in touch with the hotel, nobody bothers responding back to you which creates a horrible first impression. Especially those who have very early morning flights for arrivals and departures - you have to waste hours before being able to even visit the hotel! We got there around 2pm and had to wait a little before we could actually get into our rooms as the cleaning wasn't finished. We specifically emailed them in advance to ask this but never got a response (booking.com was useless in helping out either - watch out their contact centre staff will lie to you saying they got in touch with the hotel to discuss the request, but that is a lie!). For departure, we had to leave around 3am and was told to leave the room card in the letterbox outside the reception. Pool: Right when you enter the hotel you see the pool straight away, so doesn't really offer much privacy. Room: Didn't feel fully clean and there was an off-putting damp smell when we initially entered the apartment. There was still dust particles on the bedside tables despite the cleaning team having cleaned the room earlier. Bathroom: The biggest downside. From the bedroom you could see straight into the bathroom as the shower wall of the bathroom is see-through glass, whoever's stupid idea that was! So if you need to shower or use the toilet and need privacy, other people cannot sit in the bedroom as the view into the bathroom is crystal clear! The sink was wobbling from the beginning itself, poor quality. Might be better to bring your own toiletries like shampoos/conditioners/ shower gel as the ones the hotel provided seemed very watered down and I did not feel it was doing any cleaning at all. No handwash station in the bathroom but there was a mini soap, again poor quality. So things like these really felt poor and cheap quality. Basically if you want a great quality modern stay this may not be the right place.

  Great price for a whole apartment with a kitchen

  Liked: Incredible to have a whole apartment for such a good price - fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, and lounge. also let us check in early! 20 minute walk to the main town. Plenty of nearby restaurants/supermarkets still though.

  Disliked: It’s very aesthetic however just superficially so, made cheaply, for example it had a big crack in the window and the floor was uneven - but that didn’t bother us especially for the price! Some salt and pepper, and oil for the kitchen would be very helpful.
