Exceptional
Very overrated
Liked: The boat itself was nice. We had a problem with the dirty water in our boat. They couldn’t fix it, so we got another boat. Breakfast was very nice.
Disliked: It was very overrated. The location isnt as nice as it seems on the pictures. Unfriendly staff at arrival, no explanation. We had a problem with the dirty water at the boat and had a bad smell for the entire day. The second boat made a huge noise all night. There is nothing to do at the boats. We asked to use the kayaks. They said it was nice to kayak, but you couldn’t go anywhere. So after 5 min we were done. You couldn’t go for a walk either. So we spent the day at the beach and came back for the night.
Nice stay but some things could be improved
Liked: The place is nice and quiet, the views are great from the bedroom
Disliked: They don’t provide coffee pods for the length of the stay plus some things like the bathroom sink are broken. For the price I would have expected it to be perfect.
Funky house boat times in Aveiro!!
Liked: What a funky place to stay! Very cool living on a houseboat!! Clean, amazing views all around and free bottle of champagne upon check in! Staff was great, breakfast at our place was delicious!!
Disliked: It was a little tricky figuring out check in logistics, but once we figured out where to park and got on the boat, everything was amazing!!
Loved the house boat apartment, the peace and quiet and the wonderful staff
Liked: Loved the peace and quiet. Would definitely come back. Getting a breakfast brought in every day was wonderful. The location on a small pond with views of nature made everything awesome.
Disliked: Travel to the town always required an Uber of taxi.
Fantastic people, novel accommodation. Shame our experience was blighted by the maintenance issues
Liked: Quirky location/house boat on a lagoon. Ability to swim/kayak outside your front door. Breakfast - quality and delivered to your room every morning. Novelty to be transferred by boat to the mainland every day (1 minute). Food in the restaurant - oysters farmed on site.
Disliked: Maintenance issues. Water pipe broke, water pump started pumping, house boat started listing. Issue was resolved quickly however there were further issues with the electrics which took a couple of days to resolve, and the electrics kept tripping interrupting the power supply/air conditioning.
A great experience on a boathouse
Liked: More than just an accomodation, it is an experience. Staying away from the city in a very quiet environnement is great. You need a 2 minutes boat ride to access the place (service until 11pm). The restaurant is good.
