Very good
Liked: This is an Art Deco hotel and one steps back in time to wood panelling, vintage lifts, lounge rooms, timber wardrobes, vintage plumbing and views over the river. It's an experience to stay at the hotel.Great location to the old town, restaurants, cafes, bus stop and a short taxi ride from the train station. Friendly, helpful staff.
Disliked: No tea/coffee facilities or fridge in the room, but, the staff will provide teapots, milk on request. Old plumbing with poor water pressure. Breakfast was disappointing. Cold scrambled eggs and bacon. Limited breakfast options.
A must see for Art Deco lovers
Liked: Loved this beautiful art deco hotel. The public areas and breakfast room look amazing and you will adore the original lift. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for accessing the town and transport links
Disliked: Room was large and comfortable but a little shabby and in need of a bit of redecoration, better bedside lights and above all, updated charging points.
Liked: Great spot in central Coimbra. Large room and good breakfast.

Great location for a stay in Coimbra with lovely views over the river. Quaint 1930s hotel
Liked: Great location. Had a lovely view over the river. Hotel is 1930's and quaint. Would look amazing if it had a makeover as has lovely old wooden surrounds inside. I had a large room with 2 single beds and en suite. Only one of the 4 pillows was comfortable and the duvet and sheets tended to come off the bed. Nice hot shower and lots of towels. Breakfast was self service and catered for those who liked cooked food or continental. No bar but could help yourself to a drink in large lounge and pay on departure. Lounge was comfortable. Receptionists were always very welcoming.
Disliked: The door opened using a key and then locked automatically when you left the room but it wasn't possible to lock it from the inside. There was a chain to pull across. The inner door to the room had a sliding bolt that didn't work that well. Easy access to the hotel lobby and I guess to the rooms so some people may not feel that comfortable with this arrangement.
