Stunning location - had a great time with family
Liked: Ocean front with stunning view, great variety of breakfast, dinner à la carte or buffet, perfect spot for taking a walk on the promenade beside the sea.
Liked: Perfect spot, great facilities. the furniture is pushed up against a wall in the entrance. They need interior designer to rearrange it. Spread it out make it look cosy.
Liked: Lovely location. comfortable, good level of service from staff. When I felt unwell, I received rapid support.
Disliked: I had been assured in advance that I would not have to change rooms; in fact I did have to move after my first night. In a four star hotel, I would have expected a supply of bottled water, not having to buy it after day one! I was lucky to get a kettle when I asked for one, whereas it was difficult for my family.
Convenient Location with a Beautiful View
Liked: The location is convenient and offers a wonderful view. Private parking is available free of charge within the hotel grounds. The hotel seems to cater mainly to older guests, and this was noticeable during our stay, as it didn’t seem to be a popular choice among younger travellers.
Disliked: We were disappointed by the poor maintenance of the outdoor pool areas. Perhaps the season was coming to an end for the Portuguese, but the weather was still warm enough for many European visitors to enjoy the pools. We specifically chose this hotel because of its children’s pool area, but unfortunately, we found it messy and full of rubbish. During our stay, the children’s water slides had been removed from the pool, and around 80% of the sun loungers had also been taken away. This was a major disappointment, especially considering that the pool facilities were one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. The outdoor children’s swings also need to be inspected, as several metal screws were protruding from the wooden structure, making them look unsafe for children. Another disappointing detail was having to pay extra for disposable swimming caps to use the indoor spa pool. When you are already paying €200 per night, charging extra for such a basic requirement feels unreasonable.
