  Gaudi-esque building with Moroccan style gardens and outdoor space, needs senor operate llighting

  Liked: Well located, very clean, interesting gardens/outside space

  Disliked: No lighting to get to or access room in the dark (after eating in restaurant or on departure at 7a.m. Dangerous negotiating steps without any light and not clever trying to fiddle to get the key to work in the door to the room. Needs automatic lighting with a sensor to come on to improve safety and reduce trip risk. On arrival reception wouldn't open locked gates even though there were three people working on reception supposedly watching the cameras

  Liked: A hidden gem in the heart of Porto. Probably the best hotel for style and atmosphere we have stayed. Beautiful old restored mansion with modern facilities for guests and the best helpful staff you will find. Breakfast is amazing, plenty of options and the breakfast room...wow. Do not miss a stay here, it was fantastic. Value for money, glad we cancelled more expensive options and found this Porto treasure

  Wonderful place in Porto — highly recommended!

  Liked: Had an awesome stay at Hotel Castelo Santa Catarina in the Royal Suite! The room and the whole property are super clean and well-kept. The staff are amazing — huge shoutout to the front desk team for such a warm welcome and all their help. Location is spot-on too: nice and quiet, the Marquês metro station is right around the corner, and you can easily walk to Rua de Santa Catarina and the city center. Highly recommend this place if you’re heading to Porto!
