  A Wonderful Stay in Porto – Spacious, Comfortable, and Truly Welcoming!

  Liked: We had a fantastic stay at **GR Suites** and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Porto! The location is excellent — just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city center to enjoy peace and quiet, yet conveniently close to everything. **Marquês metro station is just a short walk away**, making it easy to explore Porto. We stayed in the **Deluxe Twin Room with Garden View**, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was exceptionally spacious, bright, and airy, with beautiful oversized windows overlooking the garden and impressively high ceilings. The beds and mattresses were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. Extra pillows and blankets were thoughtfully provided, and the air conditioning could both cool and heat the room — a particularly useful feature for a comfortable stay in any season. Another lovely touch is the **shared guest area, where a coffee machine, microwave, tea, coffee, and cookies are available to all guests**. It's a thoughtful convenience that makes the hotel feel even more welcoming and homely. What made our experience truly special, however, was the wonderful hospitality of **Svetlana and Olga**. Every morning, they welcomed us with a **delicious, home-style breakfast**, genuine warmth, and thoughtful attention. They were always happy to share helpful local tips and recommendations, and their kindness and care made us feel right at home. **A very special thank you to both of them for making our stay so memorable!** GR Suites offers a lovely combination of comfort, tranquility, convenience, and personal hospitality. It's a place where you can truly relax after a day of exploring the city. **We wholeheartedly recommend GR Suites to future visitors to Porto and would absolutely love to stay here again!**

  Liked: Genuine friendly welcome and hosting from lovely Lady - good helpful advice. Accommodation is traditional Portuguese city apartment style rooms and facilities (we had large top floor garden view room (7) assume quieter than road facing rooms). Very good breakfast with variety of choices & excellent breads. Great proximity to metro line (Marques) made for easy travel to/from centre (or ~30min walk). Range of typical local cafes close by. 3 day all area combined Metro & Bus tickets good value.

  Disliked: Bed was rather hard - too much so for one of us.

  Liked: Breakfast was ok

  Disliked: Location is not that great. There is really nothing close by and it is on the top of the, but the price does not really reflect it. There is ko soundproofing whatsoever, so you can hear every little thing done in the room next door.

  A great stay

  Liked: The concierge was a wonderful, warm lady who was all smiles and made us feel very welcome 😊. The room was super clean and spacious with a nice garden view. And the location was close to the metro.

  Disliked: There was no parking available at the hotel but there was a public parking garage 300m away. Which wasn't a problem,but it was hot and we didn't want to leave anything in the car...

  Liked: We were really well looked after by our host who was so helpful with advice on places to go. She also came in early to make breakfast for us on our last day which was really unexpected and we couldn't thank her enough. Breakfast was really good every day with a good choice and we looked forward to it every morning. Our rooms were incredibly spacious, modern and comfortable with a good sized adjoining bathroom.

  Disliked: Although we really liked the accommodation we were surprised how far away from the tourist attractions it was. There is a tube station that takes you to the centre which is 10 mins walk away but we would rather have been within walking distance. Our rooms were also facing the street and there was a lot of traffic noise.

  Liked: Svitlana is an excellent host, super great and friendly she was the best part of the stay!

  Disliked: Mattress pretty old and soft, light switches don’t work. Had to sleep one night with light turned on. Nothing renovated in the last 20 years. For that a bit overpriced.
