  Truly a 'Happy Hostel' 😊

  Liked: I loved the view from my room, on the third floor. And I also really liked how big the room was, fantastic! Also the staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy and being just outside the loud central area was such a bonus.

  Disliked: That the cost didnt include towels.

  I stayed here twice this month. First was okay. View from the windows was amazing. Comfy beds

  Liked: Location is close to the Ribeira waterfront. There is continente supermarket 15mins walk from the hostel. A laundromat 10mins from it as well. Right in front of the water so great views. Loved the Papavinhos restaurant that is 2mins walk from the hostel.

  Disliked: No curtains for privacy. No locks on each of the shared rooms so anyone from other rooms have access to all rooms. Bed bugs! Some beds have it and some don’t. I stayed here twice and the second time was when i got new bites every morning. Nowhere to hang wet clothes if you hand wash. There is a kitchen but ventilation is awful and no windows so you can only cook on low medium heat or else it will be all smokey and could trigger the smoke alarm. They have 1 bowl and a few plates. Bathrooms have dark lighting compared to the pictures. Toilet papers are not being restocked. If they do, they just put it on top of the toilet and not in the enclosed holder.

  Disliked: Bunks cramped together, no window luggage all over the room as nowhere to pit anything, did not stay for longer than 10 minutes
