  A few issues with Room 117

  Liked: Its easy to get to. Everywhere is easy to get to in Porto if you use the inexpensive taxis and Metro services. The man at the desk was really efficient and pleasant. Staff are great. The bed sheets were clean. I was in room 117.

  Disliked: I don't often leave petty negative comments so this will be a first. I feel the criticisms are ok for a room that I paid 57 euros for, including taxes. So here goes: The bed is a bit hard. The sheets were clean, but the duvet on top of the sheet had no cover on it. So I can only assume that the hotel only changes the under sheet and the oversheet and pillcases after each guest. This seems a bit unhygienic. The toilet dripped all night which in a quiet room is a bit annoying. The bathroom door handle was broken. The shower head is broken so when you use the shower the water also come out of the shower head handle. I,ve attached a picture so u know what I mean. Also you need to hold the shower yourself as the holder for it does not work. I could not use the fixed overhead shower instead as the button to change to that was also broken. As a result, when u take a shower the water sprays everywhere and you end up with water dripping from the bathroom sealing and walls. All these issues are easily resolved. I hope my feedback is useful.

  1st time in Porto

  Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, well positioned to walk downhill to the old town, near to a good restaurant. Good value for money.

  Disliked: I didn't see or get the WiFi code, slight dripping from the wc sistern was a little annoying

  Good for the price nd co

  Liked: It was very clean, staff really friendly and welcoming, helpful location is not that bad. It’s like 15 min walk to historic center. It’s ok if you stay for 1-2 nights. I stayed for 1 night and everything was ok

  Disliked: It gets a bit humidity in the room but you can open the window for the room to breathe. I think it’s really nice for the price.

  It was an absolutely unforgettable experience

  Liked: The charming, kind and supportive staff. The place is spotless. Easy access to the underground - Faria Guimaraes and Marques, bus stops and other fascilities - Marques area with all sort of shops and Pingo Doce supermarket. There's a communal room where you can brew tea or coffe, and an inner lounge space or the kind of open air atrium with a table and chairs. Excellent value for money.
