  Liked: I don't want to be entirely negative. In general we liked the hotel, but see below

  Disliked: During our stay we experienced problems with the phones and wifi. Quite probably beyond your control, but one is so dependent these days on connectivity. Entirely separately, I think that not supplying face tissues in the bathrooms is a misguided economy. Our party was mostly made up of Japanese, and it is the sort of detail by which you will be judged by them

  Loved the location and facilities

  Liked: I had a room facing the ruins and it was beautiful. The courtyard was very pretty. I did not have time to have my coffee out but one could do that. There are plenty of comfortable tables and chairs. I love the fact that the area where the hotel is situated is quiet, and the river meeting you just as you leave the hotel is such a great treat! One can easily be enticed by all the runners seen there to join in for an evening jog. The staff are really nice. They offer water in a glass bottle which you can refill at the entrance and the complementary hand written card and sweet treats were an unexpected but very pleasant surprise. I also made use of the massage cushion on many evenings after long walks through the city. I like very much how they advertise themselves, being sustainable.

  Disliked: There was the occasional smell coming from the shower, like sewer. It was bad on 2 days out of 7. I have found this to be the case in quite a few hotels. The carpet in the room could do with a good clean. There was a very distinct sound of a door being opened and closed; I could not figure out where it came from. Presumably from the bar upstairs. They could do with new door stoppers for it as well as the doors that lead to the stairs. If you`re not careful you`re bound to wake everybody up.

  Liked: 10/10 – An absolutely wonderful experience! I stayed in room 305 for four days, and I can honestly say that this hotel is worth every penny. It is located in a quiet area, very close to the city centre, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and very pleasant, both visually and in terms of atmosphere. The reception area is very large, with a spacious and comfortable waiting area, and the interior courtyard is huge and beautifully designed. There are 3 or 4 very large and spacious lifts, which makes getting around the hotel extremely easy. The corridors are also very wide, so you can comfortably walk around with your luggage without feeling cramped. The design throughout the hotel is very interesting and gives the whole place a warm and pleasant vibe. The room was absolutely impressive. The beds were very large and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and comfortable, and there was a safe for extra security. The wardrobe was large and spacious, and I really appreciated having plenty of pillows to choose from depending on your personal preference. The bathroom was also very well equipped, with towels, shampoo, hair products and cotton buds provided. Everything was clean, comfortable and well thought out. And the rooftop is absolutely worth it! The staff up there were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was very good, the drinks were great, and the view from the terrace was simply beautiful. You definitely won't regret spending some time there. I also want to give a special mention to the hotel for the lovely surprise they prepared for my wife on her birthday. They surprised her with a bottle of champagne and a delicious cake, which was such a thoughtful and beautiful gesture. It really made our stay even more special, and we truly appreciated it.
