    You can check in, but

Liked: I have to call out how excellent, friendly and helpful the staff were. Not only on routine matters, but we drive a low slung sports car, which was trapped by the road outside the hotel (see other comment) and the hotel technician (apologies I didn't catch his name) made a special board from wood so we could drive away. This saved much anxiety and, probably, money. So we can't thank him and the team enough for their excellent help - bravo

Disliked: Best not to use this or the other hotels (eg ibis) on this complex if you drive a low slung sports car. You can enter no problem via the bridge from Porto, but there is only one exit where you have to drive over a storm ditch. Our ftype, which is not that restrictive, couldn't make it, even at an angle. See comments above for how the e collect staff helped us (greatly appreciated)

Perfect for a couple of nights in Porto

Liked: Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. We are a family of four. 2 nights would probably be the maximum. The outdoor area is what really makes it. The pool is lovely, there are things to do for the children and it is just super relaxing. Breakfast had so many options and a pancake machine which my daughter loved. We were able to store our luggage there whilst we used the facilities waiting for our flight. Great stay!

Disliked: Rooms are on the small side.

    Run down hotel

    Liked: Parking was good

Disliked: The bathroom had a shower over the bath with a shower curtain, which constantly stuck to you while showering — not particularly pleasant and not what the photo showed when I booked The room smelt strongly of dog when we arrived and I had requested a room that had not had pets due to allergies - I had medication! and was generally run down and in need of refurbishment. which was very disappointing. The safe didn’t work when we arrived, although maintenance did fix this quickly. We felt itchy at night - bed bugs or fleas!! Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working and we were told that nothing could be done about it. Opening the window wasn’t really an option either, as the road outside was very noisy throughout the night. As a result, the room was uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. The bedding was also very poor — the mattress was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. We also ate in the hotel restaurant, but unfortunately the food wasn’t good. We ordered chicken and it was very tough and disappointing. Overall, there were far too many issues for what should have been a comfortable hotel stay, particularly given that the room did not match the booking photos and appeared run down. I did not contact reception as often you get told oh we don’t have any other rooms available - I also don’t see why they don’t have rooms for pets and their owners rather than using all the rooms. And I’m sure they don’t have over 100 owners and pets staying at one time. In future I will be avoiding hotels that allow pets

    Lovely hotel and staff

Liked: Lovely hotel and staff. Liked the outdoor chess and swimming pool and swings. Breakfast was nice. Handy by Uber to most locations. Douro Marina walkable distance -nice fish restaurants and sunsets.

Disliked: Family room far too small for 2 adults and 2 children and the air conditioning in the room was terrible-the rest of hotel was nice and cool. I saw other comments about that so hotel need to fix that.
