  A memorable stay!

  Liked: We had travelled to Porto to celebrate a milestone birthday, have some business meetings, and relax after a long year of working hard! The hotel was a special treat! It did not disappoint! Our room was exceptional, huge comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with a lot of toiletries. We had a fantastic view of the River, it was so wonderful waking up every morning to that view! The room service was very good, very responsive and caring staff, we loved the camomile tea bags on the pillows every evening, nice touch. The breakfasts, were simply out of the world, so much choice, the selection was incredible and again the staff were very attentive. This was definitely a memorable birthday and we look forward to returning again!

  Disliked: The steps into both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools were wobbly and a little dangerous, so these needs repairing and they are not safe.

  Beautiful hotel is a great haven for Porto stay

  Liked: Spectacular setting on Duoro river, main building is a re-purposed palace and is gorgeous inside and out. Good breakfast and attentive staff made this a great stay!

  Disliked: Booked a 'twin room'- bed needed to be divided and re-made, which was quickly done. Rooms could be brighter and lighting setup was quirky.

  We stayed twice travelling in both directions. It was great both times

  Liked: Everything. An amazing palace on the banks of the Douro with wonderful views (from our room at least). Staff very firndly.

  Definitely will stay there again a nice place to go and relax

  Liked: Lovely old building full of charm and character and the location next to the river, the outdoor infinity pool and the indoor pool for when the weather isn’t so good, well worth a stay!

Good to know

All children under 12 can only access the spa pool when accompanied by an adult.
