  The home really suited our group of five older solo travelling women!

  Liked: Great location, spacious home, good parking, nearby grocery. Easy to take day trips from the house if you have a car. Great walking trail along the river. Ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom. Wonderful host.

  Disliked: Wifi didn't work in some of the upstairs bedrooms. Living and dining areas decorated but the rest of house was sparse - no wall coverings - did not feel like home. Kitchen small but workable.

  Comfortable and clean with a great location

  Liked: All bedrooms are good size with very comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms. Very inviting dining room and terrific outdoor spaces. The owners were responsive and knowledgeable. Very good location, and with a quiet street.

  Liked: Everything was great except the massive construction project next door that started by 7:30am.

  Disliked: Couldn’t use the patio until work stopped daily. Got woken up every morning at 8:30 except weekends.

  Perfect Porto girls trip

  Liked: The house was fantastic for our group of 8 girls - all the bedrooms had en suite bathrooms, the living room and dining area was great for socialising in the evenings, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and bright. The outdoor space was great too. The house is in the Foz area close to the riverside promenade where you can walk out to the coast in 30 mins and there's a supermarket just round the corner. It's a perfect base to explore Porto, Gaia and the coast. The owners were friendly and responsive and helped us book airport transfers.

  Heavy construction and a sewer pumping station!

  Liked: The house is spacious, and the beds are firm. You can use public transportation like historic trams or bus (500, 207) to get to Porto.

  Disliked: There are some things that are not mentioned in the description that You should consider before booking this location. The airport is a bit too close. The planes have a very good chance to wake You up at 6.30. There is a heavy CONSTRUCTION site next to the house. It starts at 7.45 and is really loud for about 10h. There is a sewer pumping station, ETAR Sobreiras, nearby, so the air in and around the house smells terrible. Last but not least, the house screams for maintenance - only one half of the gate opens, garage doesn't open at all and plants obstruct entry, washing mashine and dishwasher filters were clogged, chairs are falling apart, fence is rusty, etc. Please consider those additional factors before booking, and if you still decide to book, don't count on any wine or watermelon for greetings - it won't be there:)
