  Highly recommend Porto for 2 or 3 night visit. Hotel location is perfect!

  Liked: Location is excellent. Walking distance to all main attractions. Quality and range of food available for breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and stored baggage as we had a later flight. Some cookies and chocolates were left in our room which was appreciated as we didn't arrive until after midnight.

  Disliked: Only small issues so we didn't flag with anyone. One of the bath towels had holes in it. The only other issue was that we couldn't sit in the bar area after 11pm. The reception is still open but it would have been nice to sit beside electric fire with view of street outside.

  Fantastic central location within easy walking distance of São Bento Station

  Liked: The location is incredibly convenient. It is only a couple of minutes' walk from São Bento Station, making it very easy to get to when arriving in the city. You are also within easy walking distance of major landmarks like the Porto Cathedral, Igreja de Santo Ildefonso, the Imperial McDonald's, and the famous Luís I Bridge. For food and beverages, the hotel is perfectly positioned. It is not far away from Conga (around 5 mins walk), the famous local spot known for its amazing bifana and francesinha. It is also close to Pingo Doce, a handy supermarket located right up the hill near Santa Catarina Street, which is great for grabbing daily essentials...and also boozes.

  Disliked: While the hotel is very close to the train station, Porto's streets can be quite steep and uneven. If you are walking with heavy luggage, that short couple-of-minutes walk can definitely feel a bit longer.

  Excellent and comfortable stay

  Liked: Comfy bed, clean room and housekeeping service, excellent breakfast and central location

  Disliked: Room could have done with another mirror and a few more pictures and soft furnishings as felt a little bare

  The location of the hotel was very good regarding everything we wanted to see and do

  Liked: Room - was very cold and it appeared that no matter what changes made on 'in room thermostat' the room temperature stayed the same. After a couple of days we asked for more heat and the front desk person gave us a portable heater. We found out the hotel was recently renovated and it has 'central heating' so the whole hotel/floor has one heat setting. The room was also poorly laid out.

  Disliked: Heat was a big issue as the room was very cold until we got a portable heater.
