Disappointing because we expected something else

Liked: The lady at the reception was very nice and understanding. I asked for maybe half the price of the 2 nights back and she immediately said that she didn’t think the boss would be understanding, which happened to be true.

Disliked: We were taken to a very small dark room on the bottom floor and it was nothing like the pictures online, although I booked a month ago. We was awaiting an oasis in the city and it turned-out to be small and locked in. Had I known that, I would’ve booked a brighter more spacious hotel. The carpeting to the reception and on the staircase looked dirty and the room dark and dingy. Mini balcony, mini garden.

Romantic, comfortable, spacious room. Cafe next door for best coffee and pastries

Liked: Outstanding from start to finish. Will definitely recommend a stay here to everyone. For us as fitness fanatics, walking distance to the river was superb. Fantastic host, welcoming and friendly.

Disliked: There is nothing more that can be done to make a stay any more memorable. Everything was absolutely fantastic.

Marvellous stay we would certainly return

Liked: Delightful staff very friendly and helpful. The room was enormous with a separate seating area. Breakfast was great and coffee and cakes were available through the day. On an easy bus route into the centre. Nice Portuguese restaurant almost next door. Beautiful gardens opposite to walk through.

Disliked: A bit of a walk into the centre although there was a bus stop opposite the hotel.
