  Liked: We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was excellent, right across from the train station and within walking distance of so many cafés, restaurants, and attractions. It was also close to the water, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. The café right downstairs was a real highlight — they had the best croissants and iced vanilla lattes I had during my entire time in Portugal! The rooms were perfect and had that authentic European apartment feel, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The space was charming and made the stay feel even more special. Check-in and check-out were both very easy, and the host was lovely. They provided lots of great recommendations and even offered us complimentary port wine, which was such a thoughtful touch. The only things to keep in mind are that it can get a little noisy at night, although it didn’t bother us, and there is no elevator. If you’re staying on the fourth floor, be prepared to carry your luggage all the way up! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming, centrally located stay with an authentic European apartment feel. The location, thoughtful host, and nearby cafés made it a fantastic place to stay while exploring Portugal!

  A beautiful apartment in a fantastic (but busy) location

  Liked: We were at the 1st floor front facing apartment during tge last week in September. The weather was mostly fine and mid 20s (C). It is a very good location, across from the Sao Bento railway station and next door to the Metro station. The staff were very responsive and helpful. Comfortable bed and spacious storage in the wardrobe. The ceiling is high and ornate. It is a small but very well designed apartment. The welcome gift of water and port was indeed welcome especially as we arrived to late to get supplies. The two powerful fans were gratefully used.

  Disliked: The negative side of the superb location is the how busy and noisy it was outside at all hours. We had difficulty gaining access at first as my internet connection kept going down but a couple of Whatsap messages with the helpful staff sorted it. We found it difficult to cool the apartment as the temptation was to keep the shuttters closed to keep out the noise from outside.

  Liked: Location was great, nice big windows and cafes next door

  Disliked: The apartment is on a very busy street and traffic noises may disturb, if you are sensitive to noise.

  Great location, lovely apartment, attentive hosts

  Liked: Great location, lovely apartment, everything I needed. Comfy bed, nice shower, all the facilities. Attentive hosts who answered any questions. Would highly recommend.

  Disliked: There was no air-con. Had to have window open with earplugs in. I was on the rear of the building - I’m sure the view on the front side with São Bento station is naturally much better - but it was fine for what I needed.
