Comfortable base for exploring Porto if you are prepared to walk, modern style not a central shoebox

Liked: I liked the spaciousness of the hotel, with a good sized room, great terrace with a view out down the river towards the sea. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, particularly as they were able to get me a packed breakfast on early-start tour days. It all made for a very relaxing experience.

Disliked: Just the location, as it was a fair walk into the centre and Porto is made of hills! However, the location also made it cheaper and a quiet area.

Large plush hotel with great views over the river

Liked: Large plush hotel with great views over the river. Excellent breakfast. Terrific views from the terrace bar.

Disliked: Our 'River View' room was fine.. but if staying again would probably spend a bit more to get the 'Sea View'. Looks like the hotel hosts a lot of conferences. Might get a bit busy when they are on.
