  The perfect base to discover the magic of Sintra

  Liked: We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Chalet Saudade. Such a lovely place to stay, with warm, welcoming front desk staff who were always happy to chat and offer helpful advice. We particularly loved the inviting communal spaces where fellow travellers could relax and chat in the evenings, often over a complimentary glass of port provided by the hotel. Such a lovely touch! The location is excellent, with easy access to Sintra's magnificent palaces and historic sites, wonderful restaurants and public transport. We especially appreciated the staff recommending some of the lesser-visited attractions, which turned out to be among our most enjoyable experiences. We certainly didn't regret staying a full week. Sintra is steeped in history and has so much more to offer than its famous palaces. We loved exploring the town, discovering its excellent art gallery and taking the charming historic tram all the way to the beach. A wonderful stay in a beautiful part of Portugal. We would happily return!

  Beautiful Place to Stay in Sintra

  Liked: From the moment we arrived Chalet Saudade was amazing. Catarina welcomed us, shared the history of the property, and gave us wonderful advice on places to visit in Sintra. The Chalet is beautiful. Breakfast is served at their cafe up the block. Our room did not include breakfast, but we enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the cafe. The hotel has a beautiful sitting room and lovely gardens. Chalet Saudade is a must in Sintra.
