Fabulous
A very pleasant and charming idiosyncratic hotel
Liked: Very Charming near the old town Centre which has some very interesting and historic buildings. The parking is enclosed within the grounds. The staff were very relaxed and very friendly. The town is full of bars and restaurants and comes alive after 8.
Disliked: Nothing I’ll be back here.
Bad
Liked: Room was disgusting and had a horrible smell that was bothering me. and the carpet had a lot of stains on it. and we had to leave the hotel right after checking in.
Good, small hotel. Friendly staff
Liked: The proximity to town.
Disliked: We would have appreciated an extra shelf or ledge on which to place some toiletries in the bathroom and personally, I found the perfumed sheets (might have been the soap they are washed in or a room air freshener) quite overpowering. Perhaps something less scented for those prone to allergies.
Disappointed
Liked: We’ve stayed here a few times, the location is great. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. It’s also clean and usually quiet. And let’s not forget parking.
Disliked: The bed, absolutely appalling in its state of zero integrity. Quite possibly the worst bed we have ever tried to sleep on. Uneven, full of holes and generally worthy of nothing more than a bonfire. Surely the primary purpose of hospitality, apart from the obvious issues like cleanliness etc., must be the ability to provide a bed where one can rest and sleep. It was shocking, we will not be back.
Great location and beautiful building, but the rooms are dated and the mattresses need replacing
Liked: This location is perfect for city dwellers, situated right in the heart of town. The gated parking is a bonus too, as outside parking is limited due to the widespread presence of parking meters. The building itself is beautiful and the services are excellent.
Disliked: The rooms are tired and need a lot of TLC. The woodwork in the doors and windows needs repairing and the tiles and seals in the bathroom are very worn. The mattress were very soft and worn.
Very clean good value for money and would deffo stay again
Liked: The property has of street parking was very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful
Disliked: A little noisey through the night with traffic though I had the window open so as to cool the room so? Very minor and self inflicted
