  Lovely apartment, but some important issues

  Liked: I honestly didn’t want to leave a negative review, because the apartment itself is really lovely. It’s beautiful, cozy, well-equipped overall, and in a great location. Overall, the apartment itself has a lot of potential and is genuinely beautiful, but the issues below unfortunately made our stay much less enjoyable than it could have been.

  Disliked: 1. Communication with the host There were zero instructions about how to access the apartment. Many hosts send detailed check-in instructions a day or two before arrival, and I personally like to know in advance how everything will work so we can plan accordingly. In this case, we received no instructions at all, and even on the day of arrival, the host was replying roughly every two hours. It was only around 4 PM that I finally managed to get the information out of her that we simply had to go to the building, press a button, and she would let us in remotely via her phone. This is exactly the kind of information that should have been provided in advance so that guests don’t have to spend the day wondering and stressing about how they are going to get into the property. For me, this level of communication was not acceptable. 2. The kitchen Overall, the apartment was very well equipped, but unfortunately, the kitchen, which was one of the most important things for us, was quite disappointing. There were two extremely worn-out, heavily scratched frying pans, and that was basically it. They were not suitable for cooking anything in, and there wasn’t even a small saucepan where we could have boiled some water to make something as simple as a boiled egg. We like to start our mornings with a nice breakfast at home, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible here. A couple of basic, usable pots and pans would have made a huge difference. 3. Cockroaches Unfortunately, we also had some unwanted guests: cockroaches. We found cockroach spray under the sink, so I assume we weren’t the only guests who had encountered them. This really affected my experience, as I’m personally very afraid of insects like this and find them extremely unpleasant. I understand that this can sometimes be difficult to completely prevent, but finding cockroaches in the apartment was still a significant negative for us. 4. The bed was quite small for us (140 cm wide).

  Exceptional, spotless, convenient location

  Liked: Everything was perfect for me. The location was a 10 minute walk from train station. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, toiletries in the bathroom, coffee capsules, etc, etc. The attention to detail was amazing. This host went above and beyond all my expectations. I will be definitely be returning to this apartment again. I would highly recommend it.

  Disliked: It doesn’t have a balcony but windows do open for air. It wasn’t a problem for me. The beach is only a few minutes walk.

  Liked: Good location, close to beach, restaurants, supermarket and station. Well laid out with good facilities, very clean, everything you need for your stay. Bed was very comfortable! Host was lovely, so helpful. Couldn’t ask for more.

  Liked: ”¡Una estancia increíble! From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth and kindness that make Spain so special — and our hosts were the perfect example of that! They were incredibly kind and always available in real time through WhatsApp. The apartment’s location was perfect: there is a huge parking lot right in front of the building, and the square next to it hosts the famous weekly Mercado de los Martes. Also, a Mercadona store was just nearby. The apartment didn’t just have everything we needed — it came with thoughtful surprises like candies, extra towels, blankets… and even toys for the kids, which was a really nice touch. Every detail made us feel truly welcomed. Our stay was absolutely PERFECTO, and we would recommend this place to anyone visiting Spain. Thank you to our wonderful hosts — we can’t wait to come back. ¡Hasta la próxima! 😊”
