  Amazing site, amazing host! Perfect for resting and exploring the mountain tops of Gran Canaria

  Liked: The finca is very well conceived, with a lot of charm in a beautiful area above Fontanales. The views are great, the swimming pool is big enough to do a few laps and/or play around. The bed was so comfortable and the area so quiet, we had our best sleep ever. The relax area around the pool is great to sunbathe after a day of exploring the mountain tops. Carmen, the host, was extremely helpful and has lots of information ready for you if you need ideas on what to see and where to go. And I forgot to mention the welcome gift.

  Disliked: Nothing! Well, maybe this: the road to the finca turns a lot so for the car passenger, it can be challenging if you're not used to it.

  Tranquil resort

  Unique unspoilt location in the hills of Gran Canaria. from the delicious food to the stunning national parks landscapes

  Liked: Delightful place up in the hills above Moya. Such a nice contrast to the busy tourist traps of places like Maspalomas. But also an easy drive down to the coast if you want fish and a swim. Two very nice restaurants in Fontanales - Sibora which is an old school but excellent family run restaurant and Colonial which is more upmarket serving locally sourced and deliciously cooked ingredients Carmen was helpful and responsive to all our needs. Thank you Carmen.

  Disliked: Bring warm jumpers and leggings for the cooler evenings as we did - then you will love all of it.

  Nice but wrong season

  Liked: Mountains are less crowded and at different season Finca Naturacanaria would surely be a grea place to stay. Carmen was very helpful and accomodating and everything was clean but...

  Disliked: ... it was really cold for few days because the heating, that was already lacking for the season, broke. Even after they fixed it the rooms never completely dried during our stay and last few days there was mushroom growth in the bathroom. I was told it was the coldest and wettest winter in 40 years, but if I were hosting someone here in Finland and their room was cold and wet, I would bring electric radiators or something to fix the problem. Or turn the heating up. This is not only critique at Finca Naturacanaria. It is also a lesson. So for travellers reading this and considering gran canaria during winter, choose the south side of the island, even if it's more touristy and less interesting for us adventurous types, since it is much drier and a little warmer there.

  Exceptional

  Liked: It is placed in a lovely and quiet location on the mountain with view to the ocean. Very nice rooms with plenty of space and all the facilities. The pool is just amazing. Lovely and very helpful staff. Everything was awesome.
