What is Sacromonte?
Sacromonte is the district of caves dug into the hillside of the Darro valley, facing the Alhambra. It is the birthplace of the Gypsy zambra, with flamenco shows in caves, and at the top stands the Abbey of Sacromonte.
Getting there
A city minibus climbs from Plaza Nueva along the Paseo de los Tristes, and on foot it takes about 20 minutes. The streets are steep with little car access.

During Holy Week, on spring and autumn long weekends and during big congresses. Flamenco nights in the caves draw audiences all year round.
