  A lovely and spacious apartment with great hosts, although a few areas would benefit from a refurb

  Liked: The hosts were excellent — very responsive, helpful and accommodating throughout our two-week stay. Although there is no washing machine, they kindly helped us get our laundry done free of charge, which we really appreciated. The apartment itself was very clean, incredibly spacious and in a great location, close to the beach, harbour and centre of Caleta de Sebo. Check-in was very easy using the lockbox. The upstairs bedroom was particularly lovely, with a very comfortable memory-foam-style bed and access to a large roof terrace with fantastic views over the harbour. The wifi signal is clear but only covers one floor at a time - but we simply would move the router around as needed.

  Disliked: A few areas of the apartment could do with a bit of updating. The downstairs beds were noticeably less comfortable than the upstairs bed and it was also prone to feeling very hot and stuffy and as it backs onto a small internal courtyard shared closely with a neighbouring holiday flat, noise can sometimes be an issue at night if neighbours are cooking or chatting late. The living-room sofa has torn original covers, which they had attempted to cover with a loose cover on top but this was constantly slipping off, which then made the whole room feel messy. The upstairs shower was also leaking during our stay and we noticed some signs of possible wood-boring insect activity in some of the furniture upstairs. Both issues were reported by us and the management team responded very quickly to say they would get this fixed, so hopefully they will have been resolved for future guests. But given the price of the apartment, I do feel some of the furniture and fittings would benefit from a little investment and updating.

  Lovely

  Liked: The apartment was clean and fresh. The furnishings were really nice and the views from both sides of the apartment were stunning. It was quiet and very comfortable. A great place in which to relax. It had a safe too which was helpful.

  Disliked: The awning wouldn't close because the fabric was twisted. I untwisted it and managed to close it but I think it needs some attention

  Liked: The apartment was in a great location, just a short walk from the harbour. It was simply furnished but extremely comfortable. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept on and the pillow was perfect which is unusual in a holiday rental I find. The couch was also very comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing staying there which was exactly what I was looking for during my week exploring the beautiful island of La Graciosa.

  Disliked: I was disappointed that I didn't get a room with a balcony which is what I believed I'd booked on Booking.com. I think the photos can be deceiving, so lesson learned to confirm before I book in future! The TV was also disappointing, despite its massive size I was not able to enjoy it as all the channels were in Spanish. I enquired about using Netflix but I was not able to log in to my account. It was not a huge problem since I enjoy reading and was enjoying a good book whilst I was there. Also, you had to be very quick in the shower as the hot water didn't last very long. I was fine as I was there on my own, but I don't know how a family would have managed.
