  Spacious accomodation in a nice village

  Liked: Guatiza is a tranquil village away from tourist traps and as such is attractive for me. Yet it's a great base for exploring the northern part of the island, with Teguise, caves, and great viewpoints only a short drive away. The village has a fab Italian restaurant close by, where you'll receive a warm welcome, and a moderate size supermarket good for basics. The room I had at Casa Ines was lovely and spacious, with nice decor, luckily I had the one with the ensuite bathroom - it had a good additional space with chairs/table and a fridge/kettle, so good for making a simple breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was okay. The host left some considerate items for use, such as hiking poles, a cooler bag, also make up remover and wipes. As far as I can tell, the host & staff were very pleasant, with good English skills... though unless you encounter any issues, like I did, you are unlikely to see any of them as check in is with a code, so it's a bit impersonal. But overall I'd likely stay again.

  Disliked: The main issue I had was with the TV. The night I arrived no channels were available, so I reported it and the next evening a friendly guy came and sorted it out (problem with roof antenna). But then the next evening all of the channels had disappeared again, and even though I reported it the problem was not resolved for the rest of my stay. The environment was not always as quiet as I had expected. Opposite the accommodation is a teleclub and sometimes people were noisy leaving it. On Saturday night people walked past outside at 3am and woke me up. Several times I was disturbed by people staying in the other room who didn't show much consideration slamming the door of their room, the building, or the bathroom at all times of day and night - I think a note should be put in the other room about this. The online registration system was unreliable. I filled everything in prior to my arrival and a while later, once there, I was essentially accused of not filling the form in so I had to do it all over again and I felt obliged to take screenprints to prove I had done it this time.

  Lovely accommodation in a quiet Lanzarote village. Very friendly locals and staff

  Disliked: The accommodation was excellent. Only small problem was the location as incredibly quiet village. Car is a must.
